From the President's Desk

The most important thing that schools can do is to use technology in the curriculum more effectively. In the modern world, education has become a need as essential as food and water. With expenses increasing by the second, it has become a necessity to get the highest degrees and secure a well-paid job. As a result many new trends have emerged in the education system, that promise a hope for a better future. We are cruising along, and then technology changes. We have to adapt. Gone are the days of imparting traditional education through chalk and talk method only. Various other techniques are now used in teaching- the educational field has transformed wholly. We need technology in every classroom and in every student and teacher’s hand, because it is the pen and paper of this time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of the world. Technology has become all pervasive in our lives as well as our classrooms. Using ‘Google’ for research project is no longer a luxury but the norm. There has been a shift from teaching various subjects as insular subjects teaching than in a way so students can make useful connections with the real world. Hands on activities help make academics more tangible for students and become a bridge to abstract thinking. Using interactive communication boards in a classroom also helps to reinforce various important concepts. The new system also encourages the students to design, experiment, build and invent as they deeply engage in various subjects. The desire to reach the summit and make a life full of wellbeing is only possible through modern system of education using technology. Thus the task of a modern educator is not to cut down jungles, but to irrigate deserts with his great growing engine of change- technology.
